When was the last time you were on a downswing?
Unfortunately for one of my newest students, he’s currently battling deep in the trenches with the worst one of his career.
His question got me thinking… How in the Hell DO YOU start feeling confident and motivated to grind again as quickly as possible when in the heart of a downer? In the past, what have I done that reliably works for me, and for my students too?
In this 5 minute video, I’ll share with you the three most reliable techniques I’ve found that always help me get out of a downswing as quickly as possible.
Specifically I’ll tell you:
- How to give your poker consciousness a “pattern interrupt” so you can wipe your memory clean of all the recent bad beats
- How to regain confidence as quickly as possible without bleeding your bankroll out
- The exact period of time to step away from the game so you can return with a fresh perspective on poker
Remember, the key is to stay in upswings as long as you can while digging out of downswings as fast as possible. In the end, a downswing only exists in your mind, and the sooner you can return to playing your A game, the higher your winrate will be and the fatter your wallet will get.
What’s something you’ve done to get out of a downswing in the past? When in a downswing, what have you found to be your biggest struggle? Write me a comment below so I can give you some advice and help you get back on track at the tables.
My goal this year is to connect with as many players who are as passionate about PLO as I am – is that you?
I look forward to helping you achieve your goals in PLO.
